These photos are some of the colourful costumes and people that were attending our first annual Steampunk Festival here in Abbotsford.

Steampunk is kind of a fusion between old Victorian and Science Fiction such as that of Jules Verne.

Camera Critters

One of the critters you can see in the shallow waters of our local lake is the smaller fish who make this lake thier home. Unfortunately though, they are not breeds of fish who really belong here. Some of these fish are actually Cichlids, aquarium fish who have been dumped in the lake when they are not wanted anymore.

You can also see Red Eared Turtles in the lake sunning themselves on old logs and rocks. They are also another animal that ends up in the lake after being dumped here.

Says something for making informed responsible decisions when acquiring a pet, that keeping that pet is for the long run.
