Common Garden snake. This one was photographed on a visit to a Water Sanctuary outside of Chilliwack.
He looks bigger than he really is if you check out the blades of grass next to him. That is the beauty of a macro lens! Makes everthing closer and bigger!

They are so tricky to photograph, aren't they?! We have a coup[le in our garden and they just won't sit still for a photo!
