Lady and the Tramps

Lady and the Tramp, a Jazz/Blues band that played the last concert of the summer season in the park.
One of the best parts of Summer has been all the free concerts available to go and see through the summer.
There was concerts every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening in three of the local city parks around our town.
We would either pack a picnic or go and get some take out food to take and enjoy supper in the park while listening to the concerts.
It was a wonderful way to spend warm summer evenings!

The Bass man!

The Lady, the Crooner!
And she is married to the Drummer!

The lead Guitarist in the band dressed the part and was an awesome player.

These photos combine two of my favorite things! Wildlife and Monochrome.
Our last trip to Fishtrap Creek looking for signs of wildlife netted these photos of three beavers who make this creek thier home.
This beaver was on our side of the creek snacking on some of the tender green plants along the shore. He finished his meal, and cut some of the branches to take across the creek to the other side where a Mother and Baby Beaver were resting along the shore.
We stood about 15 feet away while he dined on his dinner and he didn't seem to bothered by our close proximity.
Across the creek, Mom Beaver was grooming the Baby. Both were resting along the water's edge I guess waiting for supper to be delivered!

Hearts in Flowers

Soft pink blooms with hearts in the center!!

We have had snow, sleet, hail and rain and are ready for a bit of Spring to arrive.
Linking up with http://www.debduty.com/
One of the first things we have seen blooming here! These flowers were on a large bush blooming at the side of a heritage home.
Hoping the crocuses and daffodils are going to survive the hail we have had.
These little flowers were about the size of a small pea each and looked soft to the touch, but were really firm and waxy feeling. Quite a contradiction!
